Shifting Views of Self

Once upon a time I saw myself through the various roles I played. Lawyer. Father. Husband. You know the drill.

As I get closer to my core, I now see myself less in terms of what I "do" than how I do it. In effect, my life has become more of a process through which I apply the skills I've developed to create experiences.

Even on a "professional" level I've changed. No longer do I fight other people's battles and fix their problems. Instead, I try to help them see what's involved so they can fix it themselves, and thereby take responsibility for their lives.

You can see this philosophy in practice here at WhisperZone, sharing many views in hopes one will shine a light on whatever next step is ahead for you. And hopefully help you take responsibility for your spiritual journey through life.

My own transformation is as much one of shifting perspective as redirected activity. For now I see myself through the process of my interaction with self and others, serving as a conduit so understanding and perspective can flow to where it is needed. And in the process, providing a reflection of what's going on beneath the surface in those who are too close to the situation to see for themselves.

So what's this got to do with you?

Perhaps some type of transformation is happening in you. Have you identified it yet? Knowing of self is a crucial, ongoing step for all on the path. It starts with self-examination, and being ruthlessly honest as we pull back the layers with which we cover our core. Never an easy task, and often uncomfortable, it nevertheless is essential to build a life that works -- not to mention move us a little closer to ascension.
