Shifting Your View of Life
Let's look at this thing called life. It's why we're here, yet we get so caught up in what it brings that we rarely get to look at what's going on beneath the surface. Maybe it's time we do.
Because life's all about the experience. Whatever we're getting, that's why we're here. Yet much of the time we don't even know what we're getting, much less stop to appreciate it.
What's going on?
Life isn't thrust upon us. It's an exercise in free will over where we direct our attention and how we'll experience it. For we select among the many things around us to focus on, and then choose the attitudes with which we meet them. And at some level, we even choose the fears, desires, and other inner conditions that shape them all. In other words, life is determined as much by what's going on inside us as by what's happening in the supposedly random events of our outer world. Events that may not be random at all, but rather created at a level and place beyond awareness of our conscious minds.
This is life. Experiencing what's created. Learning how to gather and shape it. And then creating something new.
Sounds overwhelming, doesn't it? It doesn't have to be.
It all flows from a source deep benearth our outer awareness, a place known to what we'll call our soul or inner self. That soul tries to guide us to whatever it is we need in that moment through the whispers of our inner voice. But too often we're so caught up in the hand life deals us that we don't listen, much less look for anything more.
