Creating the Space to Go Your Way
Each of us has within us an inner vision of what we came to life to experience. It is revealed to us through our inner voice and the possibilities brought to our attention from which to carve our path.
Unfortunately, we're so caught up in the outer trappings of our egos, especially our fears and desires, that often we can't hear it and we're left in a state of waiting for something our gut tells us is coming down the road that we don't want to miss.
It's a matter of instinct inbred at our source.
Hearing an Inner Call
That instinct fills us with a desire to go our own way. We just don't see it yet. We know we will, but we don't know when.
Nevertheless, we don't want to be pushed down a track that denies us the chance to answer the door when opportunity knocks. As a result, we fight back against the well-meant urges of family and others to push us in a direction they think will best serve us (and them).
Their actions are to be expected. Nature abhors a vacuum, and our families are no exception. It's just that they aren't privy to what's locked inside us, and have to deal with what we show on the outside.
It can appear we're wasting time, disinterested, or just plain lazy because we don't adhere to their way of going about life. It's not that at all. We're all too happy to apply ourselves when we feel the inner motivation to drive us forward.
